HFIM Highlight

Our Hospitality and Food Industry Management program is working to create the next leaders of the hospitality industry both within the state of Georgia and beyond. By working with industry leaders, gaining hands-on experience through two required internships, and transforming the curriculum, we are building a strong foundation of essential business concepts. It is evident how transformative this program is in its amazing students and their first-place ranking from Niche for public universities with an HFIM program.

HFIM in the News

The Hospitality and Food Industry Management program was recently highlighted by UGA Today in an article discussing student success and experiences, its recent first-place ranking by Niche, and the program's partnership with the UGA Center for Continuing Education and Hotel.

HFIM in Campus and Georgia

This Fall, we hosted Johns Creek High School for a visit to show our majors within the Department and help them learn about life at UGA. This was hosted by the UGA Center for Continuing Education and Hotel, which is a close partner to the Hospitality and Food Industry Management program.

While at the 2024 Georgia Governor's Tourism Conference in the Fall, students attended a back-of-house tour with the Mercedes-Benz Stadium Guest Experience Team. Students also received a behind-the-scenes tour of the Lawrenceville Arts Center and The Lawrence Hotel construction site.
