About
Dr. Yangxuan Liu is an Associate Professor at the University of Georgia whose work centers on the economics of cotton and peanut production, with expertise in agricultural finance and agribusiness management. Her research examines the economic and risk implications of both existing production systems and emerging technologies and practices, with the goal of enhancing the long-term sustainability and profitability of agriculture.
Through her Extension programs, Dr. Liu addresses pressing state and national issues related to agricultural marketing, production economics, farm management, and agricultural policy. She actively engages with producers and industry stakeholders to provide timely, research-based insights that support sound decision-making.
Dr. Liu is committed to fostering collaboration with researchers, specialists, Extension agents, and industry partners to build an innovative and impactful Research and Extension program at University of Georgia. Drawing on her interdisciplinary expertise, she aims to strengthen Georgia’s agricultural sector while contributing to global efforts to improve agricultural productivity and meet the needs of a growing population.
