AAEC Ambassadors

Welcome to the AAEC Ambassadors Program!

The Departmental Ambassadors act as liaisons between the department and prospective students and their families, guests, alumni, industry partners, and friends of the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Ambassadors at the Challenge Course

Our Ambassadors serve the AAEC community in various capacities, including as:

Leaders

They represent the undergraduate students of the department and provide input to improve the department's student recruitment and engagement strategies throughout the service year.

Communicators

They communicate for the department through high school presentations, email correspondence with prospective students, and individual conversations with students, college leadership, and alumni. They also manage aspects of our social media content as tour guides, interviewers, and interviewees.

Community Builders

They strive to create a sense of community among students in the department, no matter their major or year.

Networkers

As ambassadors meet with various groups ranging from industry professionals to university leadership and prospective students, they build a valuable professional network with business leaders and peers.
