The AAEC Departmental Ambassador Program is an opportunity for students to represent the department in various capacities across the campus. The Ambassadors act as liaisons between the department and prospective students, guests, alumni, and industry partners! They also represent the undergraduate student body through student engagement events and a strong digital presence. Ambassadors gain professional development experience and refine their communication skills through training, social events, and official events where they can grow their network and foster valuable relationships.

No, you do not need a recommendation letter or a reference to apply for the AAEC Ambassador Program.

Although we determine an ambassador's eligibility on an individual basis, any incoming AAEC Ambassadors are discouraged from serving as a CAES Ambassador during their first service year. This is due to the higher service requirement by the CAES Ambassadors and an overlap of many on-campus events between CAES and AAEC.
Since the AAEC and CAES Ambassadors' applications share a similar timeline, we highly suggest applying for both programs and inquire about eligibility to serve both roles once accepted.
