Pollinator Report
Did you know the economic value of pollination for the state of Georgia (based on 2021 data) was $635,094,003?
Congratulations Sharon Kane, UGA Center for Agribusiness and Economic Development, and plant protection expert Becky Griffin on completing their project mapping the economic impact of pollination in the state of Georgia. Dr. Kane, an economist with our department, worked on analyzing the data and creating an interactive map. The project emphasizes the value of pollinators, the economic impact in Georgia, and the need to educate and empower people on the necessity of continued conservation.
Check out the interactive map and find the economic value of pollination in every county in Georgia!
