  • Dr. Cesar Escalante - Fulbright Teaching Fellowship (Japan), U.S. Global Scholar Program
  • Dr. Cesar Escalante - UGA Faculty Recognition, Outstanding Teaching Award from CAES
  • Dr. Yukiko Hashida - Japanese Female Economist of the Year, awarded by the Japanese Economic Association and funded by Nippon Life Insurance Co.
  • Dr. Yangxuan Liu - Distinguished Extension/Outreach Award - Less than 10 years of experience, Agricultural and Applied Economics Association
  • Dr. Gopi Munisamy - Distinguished Alumni (Borealis) Award, College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resources Sciences, University of Minnesota, 2025.

CARDS Endowment Lecture

This February, Dr. Gopinath Munisamy, the Distinguished Professor of Agricultural Marketing at the department, gave a presentation at the Centre for Agriculture and Rural Development Studies (CARDS) Endowment Lecture at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University in Coimbatore, India.

Composting Blog

This April, Dr. Jeff Mullen, an associate professor for the department, with Derek McNutt, a Ph.D. student at Georgia Tech's Carter School of Public Policy, published a blog, "New Interactive Map Reveals Composting Opportunities Across Georgia." The blog discusses a new interactive map of composting facilities across the state developed by researchers at Georgia Tech, as well as more information about composting in Georgia.
